Anthony McCall Associates
Anthony McCall founded his design firm in 1979, in the Tribeca loft where our offices remain to this day. Anthony set the parameters for the kind of design that has become our signature—energetic and approachable design that reflects our clients’ creativity as well as our own.

Books & Catalogs
Our studio has produced hundreds of books and catalogs for museums, galleries, and publishers across the country. Highlights from our nearly thirty years include The New Sculpture 1965–1975 for the Whitney Museum, Treasures of Asian Art for The Asia Society, Tod Williams and Billie Tsien’s WorkLife for Monacelli, The Panza Collection for the Guggenehim, Alice Neel and Giorgio de Chirico & The Myth of Ariadne for the Philadelphia Museum, Juan Muñoz for the Art Institute of Chicago, and Richard Serra Sculpture: Forty Years for MoMA.

The editorial focus of our work has given us the experience needed to assist clients who are not publishers by trade—such as commercial galleries and individual artists. We take care of every aspect of production, from estimating, through color correcting, and printing and binding supervision. Over the years, we have designed and produced books for clients such as L&M Arts, Mary Boone Gallery, Gagosian Gallery, and Cheim & Reid.

Print Beyond Books
For many of our clients, catalogs are only one part of their design and printing needs. We also produce advertising, announcement cards, brochures, posters, and exhibition graphics. We have created coordinated designs and printed material for Gagosian Gallery, Zwirner & Wirth, Max Lang, AXA Art Insurance, and individual exhibitions of the Japan Society Gallery, The AXA Gallery and The Center for Architecture. As with our book projects, we handle the printing and production from start to finish.

Our clients rely on us to help them stand out in the market. From Mary Boone Gallery’s distinctive typography to the clean, modern design of David Zwirner Gallery’s graphics, we have designed logos and graphic identities for all of our history. Other client identities we’ve developed include Mary-Anne Martin/Fine Art, Joan B. Mirviss Ltd., Locks Gallery, Leo Castelli, and the Art Dealers Association of America and their annual art fair, The Art Show.
